Aadhaar can be used to authenticate identity and to make the most of social service schemes in the country. Head to an Aadhaar enrolment centre located near you.
You will be asked to fill an Aadhaar correction form.
After filling the form, you will have to submit it to the Aadhaar executive with a fee of Rs 30 for this service.
You will now be provided with an acknowledgment slip which contains the Update Request Number.
You can use this URN to check the status of the update request made by you.

Visit the self-service update portal on UIDAI.
You need to either click on Update Address if you have a valid address proof or on Request for Address Validation Letter.

Provide the text verification code in the box and then click on Send OTP.

After the update, you can download the updated version and get an Aadhaar card printout.

The steps mentioned above are for those who have a document proof in order to update their address. However, if you do not have a document proof and want to update the address, you can do so with ease. Even if you do not hold a valid address proof, you can update the current address in Aadhaar. With an Address Validation Letter, you can update the address in your Aadhaar card through a validator. The address in the Aadhaar card of the validator will be updated in the applicant’s Aadhaar after the process is successfully completed. You are required to follow the steps mentioned below to update the address in your Aadhaar through an Address Validation Letter. After the completion of the three steps, your address in the Aadhaar card will be updated and you will receive the new card within a period of 90 days from the date of application.

Application

On the UIDAI website, click on update your address online.
Next, click on the Request for Aadhaar Validation Letter tab.
Here you will have to enter the Aadhaar number and then click on Send OTP or Enter the TOTP.
Now provide the address verifier’s Aadhaar number and then click Submit.
The request will be submitted and a message will be sent on the registered mobile number of the verifier.

Approval

The second stage is the stage of approval. Here the verifier will get an SMS on his registered mobile number with UIDAI that contains the OTP and a link to verify the request of the applicant.
He will have to click on the link provided in the SMS and then login to his account.
Enter the OTP received in the given space and confirm the request made by the applicant.

Final Submission

After the verifier approves the request, you will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number with the SRN and a link for submission of the application.
You will have to enter the SRN and the OTP you received through the SMS.
Check the details here and click on Submit update request in order to complete the process of application.
After approval, the verifier’s address will be updated in the Aadhaar card of the applicant.
