The Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD) is set to transform governance with the inauguration of its GenNext Lab on October 8. The lab will be launched by B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, NITI Aayog CEO, and is aimed to enhance government decision-making through advanced data and technology, with a focus on public administration and rural development.

In addition to the GenNext Lab, two other key facilities—Viksit Chintan Kaksh and Nitishala—will also be unveiled. These initiatives aim to position Bihar as a frontrunner in modern governance.

GenNext Lab: Data-driven decision-making

The GenNext Lab will leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics to support government officials in making well-informed decisions. By processing real-time data, the lab will enable leaders to predict challenges and develop proactive solutions, particularly in critical areas like rural development.

The lab will also serve as a learning hub, offering a variety of simulations, case studies, and best practices to help officials address governance challenges more effectively by learning from past experiences.

Viksit Chintan Kaksh for policy discussions

The Viksit Chintan Kaksh is a high-tech room where government officials can come together to discuss and plan important policies. It is designed to promote collaboration and idea-sharing among leaders, helping them shape the future of Bihar by working together.

Nitishala: Learning governance through practice

Nitishala is a learning lab that gives government officers hands-on training. It uses simulations and real-life scenarios to help officers apply their theoretical knowledge to practical situations. Through case studies and other interactive learning tools, officers will be better equipped to handle Bihar’s unique governance challenges.
Transforming governance in Bihar

Together, the GenNext Lab, Viksit Chintan Kaksh, and Nitishala are set to transform governance training and practice in Bihar. By using cutting-edge technology and interactive learning methods, these facilities will enable officials to understand the connections between various sectors—such as health, education, agriculture, and women’s empowerment. This integrated approach will help anticipate and address future challenges before they escalate.
