
A woman in Andhra Pradesh allegedly suffocated her husband to death and attempted to portray it as a heart attack. Madhuri took her lover's help to execute the plan who sat on the victim's chest while she suffocated her husband using a pillow.
In the disturbing murder case that has come to light from Chiluvuru village of Andhra's Guntur district, the woman reportedly spent the entire night beside her husband's body watching pornographic videos.
Police said the accused, Lakshmi Madhuri, executed the murder of her husband, Lokam Shiva Nagaraju, after meticulously planning it with her lover. The victim was an onion trader.
The woman, who has been arrested, cooked biryani laced with a substance and fed it to her husband, causing him to fall into a deep sleep. Soon after the victim feel asleep, her paramour, who has been identified as Gopi, arrived at the victim's residence around 11.30pm for the next phase of the plan.
According to police, Gopi sat on the victim's chest as Madhuri smothered her husband with a pillow. The act reportedly led to Nagaraju’s death on the spot. Gopi then left the house while Madhuri sat there next to her husband's body.
The woman reportedly approached her neighbours in the morning and claimed that Nagaraju died of a heart attack. However, the neighbours who were aware of frequent quarrels between the couple and Madhuri’s alleged extramarital relationship, became suspicious. They informed the victim's family members and called the cops after noticing visible injuries on his body.
The postmortem report confirmed that Nagaraju died due to suffocation and noted fractures to his chest bones, corroborating suspicions of physical assault.
During interrogation, Madhuri confessed to the crime and admitted to spending the night watching pornographic videos after killing her husband. A case has been registered, and investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances surrounding the murder.
