Indians are not only adapting technology but also leading the way, said billionaire investor and philanthropist Bill Gates during an interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter’s residence in New Delhi, according to ANI.
The interaction will be available on March 29, the news agency said. A teaser of the interaction was released on March 28.
“One of the themes that India brings to the table is that technology should be for everyone,” Gates told PM Modi during the interaction.
The interaction comes in the midst of the preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

On February 29, which was Gates’ last India visit, the billionaire said he discussed several local and global issues such as digital public infrastructure, women-led development and innovation, and was blown away by the country’s strong focus on these issues. Gates said he was optimistic that India would lead the way in using AI for the public good.
Recently, the Microsoft co-founder on March 27 said that India will have to do things in its own way and the services segment will play a bigger role than manufacturing in the country’s growth journey.
The billionaire was speaking virtually at the Times Now Summit 2024.
“India has had pretty steady growth for some time. Obviously, there are countries to learn from which also had periods of very long growth. India will have to do things its own way. Manufacturing, for example, will play a role, but not as great a role as it did, say, in China. Services will play a greater role,” Gates said during an interaction at the Summit.
