Seminar on Managing change and effective leadership was organised at JNPT-APEC Training Centre from 25th to 30th April. The nuance of effective leadership and challenges which comes up in the form of Ports and Terminals undergoing constant change was addressed in this meet. For this challenge, the program covered the topics such as Interpersonal skills, Change Management, Project Management, Performance Evaluation, Communication and presentation skills, Innovation Management and People Management. The focus was to instil behavioural changes to lead effectively in the fast-changing business environment.

This program was attended by Key decision makers, Senior Management, Strategy and Policy makers of Port sector across India. Program was conducted by Mr. Nico Berx and Ms. Tessa Major of Apec Port Training centre.
 
The JNPT – APEC Port training centre is cooperation between JNPT (Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust), APEC the Antwerp/Flanders Port Training Centre and the Port of Antwerp.  In 2016, the other training programs planned are “Ports in the supply chain and logistics management” in June; “Port Administration and Management” in August; “Port and Terminal Operations: Achieving Operational Excellence” in October and “Engineering Ports to Exceed Customer Expectations” in November. Registrations are open to participants from Major Port Trusts, Private Ports and Terminals in India and from Ports/Terminals abroad.
