Union Budget 2017-18: Jewellery stocks gain on hopes of measures to boost sector

Gems and jewellery stocks gained 1-4 percent Wednesday on hopes that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley may announce some measures to boost the sector.

    Gems and jewellery stocks gained 1-4 percent Wednesday on hopes that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley may announce some measures to boost the sector.

    Union Budget for the financial year 2017-18 will be presented shortly in the Parliament.

    Gitanjali Gems was quoting at Rs 68.40, up 1.94 percent while PC Jeweller was at Rs 383.75, up 0.76 percent on the BSE, at 09:54 hours IST.

    Renaissance Jewellery shares gained 0.75 percent at Rs 135 and Shree Ganesh Jewellery House rose 3.75 percent to Rs 4.15.Titan Company was quoting at Rs 365.40, up Rs 2.60, or 0.72 percent.
