Vacations are over and I am sure you are looking for places to display your pictures from the recent trip. But why invest in another photo frame when you can make one on your own. And no we are not talking about making those artsy ones where you need to spend quite a bit. This picture frame is made from materials that can be found well within the four walls of your homes. And if your mother has a huge stash of clothespin, well she might be hunting for them once you are done making this clothespin photo wreath!
Materials needed
Cardboard or foam board Wooden clothespins Bright acrylic paints Paint brushes Scissors Decorative paper Hot glue/strong glue Hook/nail
Step 1
Cut the cardboard into a wreath. The best way to do this is by using a large bowl for the outer rim and a smaller one for the inner rim. Using the scissors cut the wreath and smooth out its edges. Once you are happy with the shape, using a paint brush, slather on some paint onto the base. You could stop by just painting one color or decorate it with multiple colors.
Step 2
Once the paint has dried, slip on some clothespin around the edges very close to each other. You could let the wooden clothespin be as they are or you go a step further and cover them up entirely in paint, glitter or decorative paper.
Step 3
As soon as the clothespin are dry, using some hot glue or strong glue, stick the clothespin onto the wreath in such a way that the clips opening faces the outside. Repeat the same step with all of the clips and set it aside to dry. Once dry, rest the wreath onto the wall using a hook/nail and show off your recent vacation photos by using the clip.
