The exam will be held for different groups on both the days of the exam in order to accomodate a broad range of students.

The NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), for admission into programmes like Medicine (DM) and Master of Surgery (MCh) will be held on September 29 and 30, 2023, according to the official schedule.

The exam will be held for different groups on both the days of the exam in order to accomodate a broad range of students.

As per National Board of Examinations (NBE), the exam will be held in two shifts: the morning shift will be conducted between 9 am to 11:30 am and the afternoon shift from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.

Candidates appearing for the exam will have to mandatorily carry NEET SS admit card 2023 along with an original photo ID Card for entry to the exam hall.

As per NBE, the exam paper will consist of a total of 150 questions where candidates will have a maximum time limit of 150 minutes to answer all questions.

Students will get 4 marks for the correct response. In case of an incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted.

The exam scores will be accepted by all private medical colleges, universities, deemed universities, and military medical service institutes with the exception of AIIMS, New Delhi, PGIMER, Chandigarh, JIPMER, Puducherry, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, and SCTIMST, Thiruvananthapuram.

In a departure from the previous format, NEET-SS 2023 introduces a group-based examination structure, where the paper exclusively includes questions from the primary feeder of the chosen broad speciality.

The NEET SS will be a group-based examination consisting of questions from only broad specialty primary feeders. Candidates will now be able to appear in any of the super-specialties as per feeder subject. All DM, MCh, and DrNB courses offered for admission through NEET-SS 2023 are combined into 13 different groups, which means there will be a common question paper for admission to all the super-specialty courses covered in a particular group.

Talking about the marking scheme, candidates will get 4 marks for every correct answer, whereas for incorrect answers, 1 mark will be deducted, i.e., there will be a 25 per cent negative marking. However, no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
