While the company has not given a timeline for the website to go back online, in a response to a Moneycontrol query, the management said that they were working on the issue and that it would be resolved soon

Nippon Life India Mutual Fund website continues to be offline following a cyber attack on April 9, according to media reports. On April 10, the company had reported to the exchanges that there has been an incident involving a cyber attack on their IT infrastructure. "Immediately upon becoming aware of the incident, we have taken the necessary steps to investigate and respond to the incident, including shutting down affected systems," the notice said.

While the company has not given a timeline for the website to go back online, in a response to a Moneycontrol query, the management said that they were working on the issue and that it would be resolved soon.

In a written response the management said that their preliminary investigations showed that there had been no compromise to investor data and that investors could continue to interact through RTAs like KFin Tech and other digital channels like MF Central, MF Utilities etc for transaction. "We have strict security protocols and procedures in place and all systems are monitored round the clock. Safety and security of our systems and processes are of paramount importance to us and we constantly monitor and are vigilant in our efforts to combat any potential threats," they assured adding that they are working on restoring the services back at the earliest. "(We) would like to assure our investors that their investments and data are completely safe in our environment," the company said.

As of March 2025, Nippon Life India Mutual Fund is one of the largest mutual fund houses in India with an AUM of around Rs 564,770.48 crore with funds across equity, hybrid and debt.
