Stock rigging case: Relief for Welspun, Sanjay Dangi's kin

The Securities and Exchange Board of India has dropped its charges against 30 of the 69 entities alleged to have been involved in the price rigging of Welspun Corp., Murli Industries, Hubtown (formerly Ackruti City), Brushman India, and RPG Transmission in 2010. These entities had been banned from accessing the capital market since December 2010.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India has dropped its charges against 30 of the 69 entities alleged to have been involved in the price rigging of Welspun Corp., Murli Industries, Hubtown (formerly Ackruti City), Brushman India, and RPG Transmission in 2010. These entities had been banned from accessing the capital market since December 2010.

Those absolved of the charges include Welspun group firms (including flagship Welspun Corp), Brushman India, and main accused Sanjay Dangi
