Here are experts equity calls for the day on how the markets are expected to trade:

Michael Kurtz, Nomura: We remain constructive on Asian equities and feel strong earnings will support any sharp sell-off in event of a global risk- off trade. We like M&M, Dr Reddy's. In the banks, ICICI Bank is our top pick.

Gautam Shah, JM Financial: While there is scope for another 50 points upside towards 6150 on the Nifty, one should not aggressively play for the same. Many technical indicators suggest the market is losing momentum. Immediate support for the Nifty is seen at 6045-6050, which if broken would give the first indication of weakness setting in.
