Future of Reliance belongs to Akash, Isha, Anant and their generation, says Mukesh Ambani

Reliance will grow to be among the top 10 business conglomerates of the world, says Mukhesh Ambani.

Outlining his vision for Reliance Industries Ltd, chairman Mukesh Ambani emphasised the role of his children, Akash, Isha, Anant, and their generation in shaping the company's future. He stressed the importance of keeping the company young by ensuring the average age of all teams remained in the 30s.

"The future of Reliance belongs to Akash, Isha, Anant and their generation. I have no doubt that they will achieve more in life and bring more achievements to Reliance than people of my generation," Ambani told employees on Reliance Family Day, the birthday of group founder Dhirubhai Ambani.

Ambani also appreciated Reliance's senior and middle-level leaders' role in empowering and mentoring their younger colleagues. "Do not waste your energy on conducting a post-mortem on past mistakes...Be bold, courageous and adventurous," Ambani told young leaders.

He said he was happy to see young colleagues work "with the same enthusiasm and determination to succeed which our founder and his colleagues had at the inception of Reliance".

"I have no doubt that they will achieve more in life and bring more achievements to Reliance than people of my generation," he said.

Ambani stressed the need to guard against complacency. "Today, the domestic and global environments for business are changing very fast. There is simply no room for complacency. Reliance was never complacent in the past, and Reliance will never be complacent in future. We are known for disrupting the market through constant innovation and reinvention. We have shown the courage to set the bar high and the ability to jump even higher to create new records," he said.

Ambani expressed confidence that Reliance will grow to be among the world's top 10 business conglomerates and outlined three focus areas for the company: consistently deliver extreme value to customers and unfailingly exceed their expectations; earn community trust and enrich competencies and capabilities at every level.

He also urged the company to consolidate its place among global leaders in digital data platforms and AI adoption. "In the Era of Digital Platforms, data has become a new Factor of Production along with Talent and Money. We need to be at the forefront of using data, with AI as an enabler for achieving a quantum jump in productivity and efficiency," he said.

Ambani said the Reliance Family must complete AI transformation across all businesses in 2024. "We should accelerate our efforts to become a pioneer in developing AI to address, at scale, India's urgent national priorities in education, healthcare, agriculture, and employment creation," he added. Ambani said Reliance will embrace the future boldly and exuded optimism about the future. "Let us together build on our fine tradition of making Reliance a happy family, a caring family, and a super-creative family. 2023 was a great year for India and for Reliance. 2024 will be even better," Ambani said.
