Agilent Technologies, the NYSE listed life sciences, diagnostics, and applied markets company on Thursday said it has inaugurated its first India Solution Center in Manesar, Haryana, marking a significant expansion of its footprint in one of the world’s fastest-growing life sciences markets.

The 12,500-square-foot facility, housed in Agilent’s LEED Platinum-certified campus, is designed to deliver end-to-end analytical workflows across life sciences, diagnostics, and applied markets. The center will serve as a hub for collaborative R&D, training, and proof-of-concept demonstrations, with dedicated zones for chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, genomics, and cell analysis.

“India is a strategic market for Agilent, and we are thrilled to open our state-of-the-art Solution Center in Manesar,” said Jonah Kirkwood, Chief Commercial Officer at Agilent. “This facility is designed to provide our India customers with the resources and collaboration they need to address critical scientific and health challenges.”

The move comes as India faces a surge in chronic health conditions such as obesity and Type 2 diabetes, alongside heightened regulatory focus on food and environmental safety. Agilent’s new center aims to address these challenges with localized solutions, including GLP-1 analysis, PFAS detection, and emerging contaminant testing.

“Our goal is to support our customers not only with cutting-edge technologies but also with personalized experiences that drive scientific progress and business growth,” said Bharat Bhardwaj, Vice President for the APAC region. “The India Solution Center embodies our focus on customer partnership and practical innovation.”

The center also aligns with India’s “Make in India” initiative, aiming to strengthen the country’s scientific and healthcare ecosystem. Its location in Manesar—a growing biopharma and research hub—positions it to serve pharmaceutical, clinical, food, chemical, and government sectors.

Agilent, which reported $6.51 billion in revenue for fiscal 2024 and employs around 18,000 people globally, sees the India Solution Center as a cornerstone of its strategy to deepen customer engagement and accelerate innovation in the region.
