Maruti Suzuk's Swift, first launched in 2005, has been one of the highest selling models for the company with over 6 lakh units sold in six years. The new model too has already received around 50,000 bookings.

The new Swift is built on a new platform and is longer and wider than the old model. Maruti Suzuki says the new model has over 140 new features, many for the first time ever in an entry level variant, and that will redefine the premium compact car segment.
