Are you tired of dealing with weak, brittle nails that break at the slightest touch? Don't fret, for there are plenty of easy steps you can take to restore your nails to their healthiest state. Here are some practical tips to help you achieve stronger, healthier nails naturally:

Maintain a balanced diet: Like your skin and hair, your nails also require essential nutrients to stay strong and healthy. Incorporate foods rich in biotin, such as eggs, nuts, and leafy greens, into your diet. Biotin, also known as vitamin B7, promotes nail strength and can help prevent brittleness.

Stay hydrated: Dehydration can lead to dry, brittle nails. Make sure you're drinking an adequate amount of water throughout the day to keep your nails hydrated from the inside out. Aim for at least eight glasses of water daily to maintain optimal nail health.

Protect your nails against chemicals: Constant exposure to harsh chemicals and excessive moisture can weaken your nails over time. Wear gloves while doing household chores, such as washing dishes or cleaning, to protect your nails from exposure to detergents and other chemicals. Additionally, Ditch nail polish removers that contain acetone as they can cause dryness, peeling, splitting, and white marks.

Trim and file regularly: Keep your nails trimmed to a manageable length to prevent them from snagging and breaking. Use a sharp nail clipper to trim your nails straight across, then gently file the edges to smooth any roughness. Avoid filing in a back-and-forth motion, as this can weaken the nails.

Take a biotin supplement: Biotin is one of the B vitamins that can help strengthen hair and nails and also helps the body’s nervous system function properly. Check with your healthcare provider before taking a biotin supplement to ensure that it’s safe for you.

Moisturise your cuticles: Healthy cuticles are essential for strong nails, as they provide a protective barrier against infections. Apply a nourishing cuticle oil or cream regularly to keep your cuticles hydrated and supple. Massage the product into your nails and cuticles to improve circulation and promote nail growth.

Limit nail polish and acrylics: While nail polish and acrylics can make your nails look beautiful, they can also weaken them if used excessively. Give your nails a break from polish and artificial enhancements occasionally to allow them to breathe and recover. When using nail polish, opt for formulas that are free from harsh chemicals like formaldehyde and toluene.

Use a nail strengthener: Consider incorporating a nail strengthener into your beauty routine to provide extra support for weak nails. Look for products containing ingredients like keratin, calcium, and vitamins to nourish and fortify your nails from within. Apply the strengthener according to the manufacturer's instructions for best results.
