Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh may be missing in action from the big screen, but they made an appearance together at Ambani family’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Antilia. What stood out was their twinning moment in desi ensembles.

For the special occasion, Deepika wore a golden-brown Indian ensemble that fitted her frame beautifully. Her Anarkali set featured a high round neckline, full sleeves, and front-panel embroidery with stunning tassels. It’s the traditional work on the suit that truly made it look distinct, along with its flared design.

To enhance the dazzle of her fit, Deepika wore matching kadas, earrings, and rings. The actress also carried a matching potli bag. Her flawless, warm makeup complemented the ethnic ensemble with a focus on her smoky eyes and brown lipstick. And her centre-parted hair was styled in a sleek bun, completing her look.

Talking about Ranveer, the actor twinned with his wife in a matching kurta set with embroidered front panelling. The warm, festive colours looked radiant and striking on both. His kurta also featured intricate, delicate embroidery and fitted him perfectly.

While the festive kurta looked great on him, what was most noticeable was the actor’s clean-shaven look with short hair. Quite a refreshing change from the usual, he added sunglasses to round off his look.

This year, several celebrities have welcomed Bappa home, including Rakul Preet and Jackky Bhagnani. The couple twinned in hot pink traditional outfits and hosted friends from the industry at their abode. Arjun Kapoor, Karan Johar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Farah Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Bhumi Pednekar, among others, joined the celebrations.

Dressed in the finest traditional attire, this season’s most popular hues for the festival were bright reds, pinks, yellows, and greens — also considered to be Bappa’s favourites. While the popular choice for actresses was suits and sarees, male actors chose kurtas with half jackets.
