Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant Wedding Ceremony: The star studded pre-wedding ceremonies of Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani have been in the news for quite some time now, and it’s a gift that keeps giving. Amidst the glittering designer wear and custom jewellery worn by the Ambani ladies for various functions, the wardrobe selections for Isha Ambani is certainly to die for. She recently attended the pre-wedding ceremony of Shiv Shakti Puja in a stunning lehenga designed by Delhi Vintage Co. paying homage to the rich Indian craftsmanship and heritage.

In her resplendent attire that took 4,000 meticulous hours by artisans, Isha encapsulated a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. The lehenga inspired by the concept of the 'Tree of Life' featured some exquisite motifs like Nandis, temples, birds, and adorned with intricate zardozi work. Central to its design was a shloka from the Bhagavad Gita, delicately inscribed along its border: Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshu kada chana" — emphasising the ethos of action without attachment to outcomes.

The fabric chosen, notable for its vintage texture, provided the perfect canvas for the ancient zardozi technique, further accentuated by antique coins and other vintage embellishments. In a post shared by the brand team, the note mentioned that the look was styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, along with the creative team.

Like many of her previous custom looks, this outfit too is a fashion masterpiece narrating the story of cultural richness woven beautifully with Isha's vision symbolising a seamless union of heritage and innovation.

Indian motifs offer a myriad of possibilities for styling outfits for weddings, providing a way to celebrate cultural heritage while embracing creativity and personal style. Whether through embroidery, prints, jewelry, or color choices, incorporating these motifs can create outfits that are not only beautiful but also meaningful and culturally significant. If you too are inspired by Isha’s fabulous taste in Indian wear, here’s something to keep in mind while choosing your next festive outfit.

Embroidery and embellishments: Indian motifs offer a rich tapestry of cultural symbolism and artistic expression that can elevate outfits for Indian weddings. Traditional motifs such as paisleys, lotuses, elephants, peacocks, and mango motifs can be intricately embroidered or embellished using techniques like zardozi, gota patti, or thread work. These motifs can adorn lehengas, sarees, sherwanis, and even dupattas, adding a touch of traditional elegance.

Prints and block printing: Block printing techniques, such as Ajrakh, Bagh, or Dabu prints, often incorporate traditional motifs like geometric shapes, animals, and nature-inspired designs. These can be used in kurtas, sarees, or even as accents on accessories like stoles or pocket squares.

Regional influences: Different regions of India have their own distinct motifs and styles. Incorporating motifs specific to a particular region, such as Kalamkari from Andhra Pradesh or Phulkari from Punjab, can add a personal touch and celebrate regional diversity.
