The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has commenced the Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II) process for the 2,736 candidates shortlisted for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 Personality Test (Interview) round.

This crucial step follows the declaration of the CSE Mains 2025 results and is the final administrative hurdle before candidates receive their interview call letters. The Commission has activated the dedicated portal on its official website, upsconline.gov.in, for this purpose.

The UPSC has emphasized that filling and submitting the DAF-II is compulsory for all 2,736 shortlisted candidates, regardless of whether they need to update any information. Failure to complete this process within the stipulated deadline will result in the cancellation of candidature.

"Commission has started the process of updating or filling Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II) for all these candidates. This process is mandatory, and candidates who do not complete it will not be issued e-summon letter for interview," the official notice stated.

The DAF-II is a comprehensive form that allows candidates to review and update key information that will be before the interview board. The primary sections requiring attention are:

• Personal Details: This includes correspondence and permanent addresses, marital status, and parental information.
• Educational Qualifications: Candidates must provide proof of their academic records and declare if they are appearing for or have passed any final year/degree examinations.
• Reservation and Service Preferences: This section is critical for candidates claiming benefits under OBC, EWS, or PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) categories. It also involves declaring employment history and the number of previous attempts.

Upon successful verification and submission of the DAF-II, the UPSC will issue the e-summon letters for the Personality Test (Interview). The interviews are tentatively scheduled to begin in the coming months.

This stage is the final frontier in the UPSC CSE 2025 journey, where candidates' analytical abilities, personality traits, and suitability for a career in civil services are assessed.

All 2,736 shortlisted candidates should immediately visit the UPSC online portal, log in with their credentials, and meticulously complete the DAF-II process to secure their chance for the coveted interview round.
