In addition to his role as a producer, Yash has also started filming his portrayal of Ravana in the city. Meanwhile, as reported by Pinkvilla, both Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi have already wrapped up several sequences in Mumbai, adding to the film's growing momentum.
Ramayana is among the most highly anticipated Indian films, boasting an impressive ensemble cast. Sai Pallavi steps into the role of Sita, while Lara Dutta portrays Kaikeyi. Sunny Deol will bring Hanuman to life on screen, and Sheeba Chaddha is set to play the pivotal character of Manthara.
Pinkvilla also reported that the production of Ramayana will soon move to a studio in Dahisar for further shooting. According to a source, the war sequences are being designed on an epic scale, showcasing Ravana’s strategic genius. These action-packed scenes blend live-action choreography with extensive green screen work, incorporating heavy VFX to enhance the visual spectacle.
While Ranbir Kapoor won’t be part of this particular segment since it doesn’t depict the legendary Ram-Ravana face-off. However, other key cast members are actively involved alongside Yash in bringing this battle to life.
Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is set to be a two-part cinematic spectacle. The first installment is scheduled to hit theaters on Diwali 2026, followed by its sequel on Diwali 2027.
