Shruti Haasan spoke about getting a nose surgery and face fillers: Aapko karna hai karo, nahi karna math karo, Mujhe bass apne...

Shruti Haasan, one of the most prominent actresses in the South Indian film industry, has always been known for her boldness—both in her roles and in real life. In a widely circulated interview on Hauterrfly’s talk show The Male Feminist, Shruti Haasan spoke in detail about getting a nose job. She explained that her nose had been broken during her early days in the industry and the change was not just cosmetic, but also necessary. She said:

"I did get my nose fixed and it was very obvious I got my nose fixed. My nose was broken and quite different before. I did my first film with my old nose and then people are like she is just using the deviated septum excuse. No, I did have a deviated septum. It hurt but if I could make it prettier, it's my face. Why wouldn't I? It was that simple. I don't feel the need to justify why I want to look a certain way for myself."

Shruti also touched on the backlash she faced for using face fillers. Instead of denying it, she fearlessly acknowledged it. She made it clear that it's a personal choice and doesn’t need to be validated by others. She elaborated:

"It's my body. And those who want to do whatever they want to or don't want to, I don't condone it. I don't want people to say Shruti sabko bol rahi hai jaake filler lagao. Nahi. Aapko karna hai karo. Nai karna hai nai karo. Mujhe bass apne kaam pe chodo."

She emphasized how society often puts women in a box, judging them for not fitting into traditional beauty standards. Shruti said that people often told her she didn’t look like a “typical heroine,” that her features were “too foreign,” and that her “Indianness” was often questioned. Despite that, her talent continued to be recognized.

In another conversation with iDiva, Shruti proudly reiterated her stance on cosmetic procedures:

"It's just how I choose to live. The biggest favour we can do for ourselves and others is just be and learn to accept the changes and the movement of our bodies and minds."

She stressed that everyone has the liberty to live life on their own terms, and there is no need to conform to anyone else’s idea of beauty. Shruti Haasan’s honesty and confidence in embracing her journey continues to inspire many, especially in an industry where appearances are constantly scrutinized.
