After years of speculation and endless fan curiosity, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda finally sealed their relationship with an intimate wedding ceremony in Udaipur on February 26. The couple, who had reportedly been together for nearly eight years, chose a quiet and deeply personal celebration away from the frenzy of the film industry.
Even as the wedding continues to dominate headlines, an older interview of Rashmika has resurfaced online, where the actor spoke candidly about motherhood and her emotional connection to the idea of having children someday. Her words, shared long before the wedding, have now taken on a new meaning for fans.
At the time, in an interview with Gulte, Rashmika opened up about how strongly she felt about becoming a mother in the future. Despite not having children yet, the actor revealed that the thought of it already filled her with a deep sense of responsibility and love.
“I’m not even a mother, but I already feel… I know I’m going to have kids, and I love that that’s going to happen. But I already feel something so strongly for these little humans that are not even born yet,” she said during the interview.
The Pushpa star went on to explain that the instinct to protect and care for them was already present within her. She added that she would do anything necessary to keep them safe.
“I want to do everything for them. I want to keep them so safe, so protected. And if I’m supposed to get into a war, I need to be fit enough to go to war for them. I’m already thinking about that,” Rashmika said.
Her heartfelt words struck a chord with many fans, who admired the emotional honesty behind her thoughts on motherhood.

During the same conversation, Rashmika also spoke about the way she approaches different phases of life. The actor explained that her twenties and thirties were meant to be about hard work and building a stable foundation for the future.
“I always knew that I would just put my head down and keep working in my 20s and 30s,” she said.
She further elaborated on how financial independence and stability were crucial priorities during this phase of her life.
“We need to make a living; we need to have our own money. I knew that 30 to 40 was always going to be about work-life balance, and I have to ensure that it happens. And 40 onwards, I still haven’t thought that far,” she added.
Meanwhile, Rashmika and Vijay are currently enjoying the celebrations surrounding their wedding. Reports suggest that the couple has been marking the occasion not just with festivities but also with acts of kindness. The two are said to be distributing sweets, donating meals across parts of the country, and announcing scholarships for students in Telangana government schools.
As fans celebrate the union of one of Indian cinema’s most beloved pairs, Rashmika’s earlier reflections on motherhood now feel even more heartfelt, offering a glimpse into the values and dreams she carries into this new chapter of her life.
