Bollywood’s beloved couple, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, have recently been the subject of divorce rumors for quite some time now. An old video from Koffee with Karan has resurfaced, where Abhishek reveals that Karan Johar played a pivotal role in sparking his romance with Aishwarya, adding a nostalgic twist to their love story.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan appeared as guests in Karan Johar's Koffee with Karan Season 3 episode 1 in 2010. In this episode the actress talked about marriage, career, while Abhishek revealed that Karan played the cupid in their love story initially.

During a candid conversation on Koffee with Karan, Karan Johar playfully asked Abhishek Bachchan if he could take some credit for bringing him and Aishwarya together and said, "Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai...Can I take 1% of that credit? Because I remember really wanting this to happen. And I think I am a part of this love story."

Abhishek, smiling, recalled how Karan convinced him to pursue a relationship with her. "I think Karan was the cupid who kept putting in the idea in my ear that you know she is fantastic. You all look so wonderful together. She looks so glamorous in the house when she walks down the staircase," the Dasvi actor said looking at his wife Aishwarya.

For those unversed, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s love story began during the making of Umrao Jaan in 20206, where Abhishek started developing feelings for Aishwarya. A year later, their bond grew stronger while working on Dhoom 2, and they eventually tied the knot in a private wedding in 2007. The couple are parents to daughter Aaradhya.

Speculation about Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s marriage grew when the actor liked a post hinting at divorce a few months ago.
