Shortly after his wedding to Rashmika Mandanna and post-wedding rituals, Vijay Deverakonda announced a scholarship scheme for 9th and 10th-grade students in 44 government schools across the Achampet Division of Telangana through his charitable trust. The initiative aims to support education in the region.

Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda has made a heartfelt move in the wake of his recent marriage to Rashmika Mandanna, announcing a scholarship programme for students in 9th and 10th grade across 44 government schools in the Achampet Division of Telangana.

The initiative, revealed shortly after the couple’s gruhapravesam and Satyanarayana Vratam celebrations at their new home in Thummanapeta, is being undertaken through the Deverakonda Charitable Trust to support young learners during crucial years of their education.

Vijay and Rashmika tied the knot on February 26, 2026 in an intimate destination wedding in Udaipur that blended Telugu and Kodava traditions, followed by post-wedding rituals and visits to temples where they sought blessings. The scholarship announcement comes amid these joyous personal milestones for the actor, underscoring his desire to give back to the community that has supported him throughout his journey.

The scholarship scheme aims to ease the financial burdens on families and encourage students to pursue their academics with confidence during the pivotal 9th and 10th grades. By spanning over 40 government schools in the Nagarkurnool district, the effort is expected to benefit a wide range of students in and around Vijay’s native region. Local reports noted that Vijay’s mother, Madhavi Deverakonda, was visibly proud during the announcement, while Rashmika and his brother, actor Anand Deverakonda, applauded the initiative, highlighting the pride within the actor’s family for this community-focused step.

The scholarship news followed a series of public celebrations from the newlyweds, who have also shared their joy with fans through various gestures. Alongside traditional pujas and ceremonies, Vijay and Rashmika have been distributing sweets and performing Annadanam — charitable food offerings — at temples across India, turning their wedding celebrations into moments of gratitude and sharing with the public.
