Politics, entertainment, and purpose seldom converge with the kind of intensity seen in Smriti Irani’s journey. Today, wherever meaningful conversations are taking place—be it on screen, on the ground, or on the global stage—she is present, driving the right efforts and creating tangible impact.
Smriti Irani has continuously bridged popular culture and global leadership, from her historic return to television with Kyunkii 2.0, a cultural moment that reconnects audiences with her iconic legacy on the small screen, to her noteworthy presence at TIME100 New York. This January, that continuum will now reach Davos, highlighting her increasing prominence on global stages.
Additionally, Smriti established the Alliance for Global Good – Gender Equity and Equality to put gender equity into practice and firmly integrate it into institutional and economic frameworks. Her dedication to bringing about systemic change as opposed to symbolic discussions is reflected in the initiative.
At Davos 2026, Smriti Irani marks three years since the establishment of the Alliance, with its body of work finding expression through the WE Lead Lounge. Over this period, the thought leader and policymaker has translated dialogue into direction—bringing together policy, capital, and capability to deliver measurable outcomes at scale through global, cross-sector partnerships.
As Chairperson of the Alliance for Global Good, Smriti now carries this vision to Davos 2026, where she will engage with global leaders at the WE Lead Lounge from January 20 to January 22 for strategic dialogues and the building of impactful partnerships.
Sharing the update on her official office handle, she wrote, "As Chairperson of the Alliance for Global Good, I look forward to engaging with global leaders at the WE Lead Lounge at #Davos2026.
Global advancement in its new paradigm extends beyond the mobilisation of wealth, calling for foresight, collaboration, and inclusion. Through the WE Lead Lounge, the Alliance builds on its strategic engagements with over 5,000 international delegations and 12,000 industry partners to advance conversations that move from intent to implementation.
In collaboration with the Gates Foundation, the Women Collective Forum, and the Confederation of Indian Industry, the WE Lead Lounge will host 12+ strategic dialogues, bringing together global institutions including Deloitte, Bain, Kearney, The Adecco Group, Bank of America, and Vital Voices to deliberate on economic resilience, workforce preparedness, and next-generation growth, strengthening cross-sector partnerships that endure beyond Davos."
