In a recent interview with a leading publication, Ravie Dubey offered the first real insight into the upcoming project and spoke about how the concept gradually evolved into something much more ambitious than initially planned.

Ravie said, “It's a little bit zipped up right now but what I can tell you it's a film that comes out of Punjab with Sargun being the protagonist of the film, but it is a Pan India film. So we're very very excited about it. I mean we're extremely excited about it.”

He also elaborated on the broader creative vision behind the project, explaining that the team aims to explore a genre they believe has not been fully tapped in Indian cinema.

“Our intention is, and we also feel, that this genre is an untapped genre. Not just in Punjab but in many parts of India as well.

So we want to bring this out and we have the beats in mind. We are fleshing out the script and we are fairly ahead in that journey as well. It’s seeming very, very exciting.

We have started developing assets. We have started developing music. We are doing all those things. I mean, it just keeps us up at night. We are really having a ball.”

The announcement comes at a time when 2025 has already proven to be a milestone year for Dreamiyata Entertainment. As producers, the duo delivered the year’s highest-grossing Punjabi film, Saukhan Saukhane 2, while Sargun also headlined another successful project, Sarbala Ji.

Beyond films, their YouTube-first platform Dreamiyata Drama has continued to break records, generating more than 1.1 billion views and over 9 billion minutes watched. The platform has been widely recognised for pioneering India’s first long-format original drama ecosystem on YouTube.

Their musical ventures have also gained significant traction, with the original track Ve Haaniyaan surpassing 700 million streams.
