As The 50 heads towards its much-anticipated finale, the reality show has suddenly found itself surrounded by off-screen chatter.
The grand finale was reportedly filmed on 19 February, with the episode set to air on 22 March. What was meant to be a celebratory wrap-up, however, quickly turned into the subject of online rumours.
Soon after the shoot, reports began doing the rounds claiming that Nikki Tamboli and Shiv Thakare were involved in a major argument during the finale. According to a report by India Forums, the alleged spat created a tense atmosphere on set and even briefly disrupted filming. While no specific reason for the disagreement was mentioned, the report hinted that it was more than just a minor clash.
Nikki Tamboli’s team, however, wasted no time in setting the record straight. Taking to Instagram, they issued a firm clarification denying that any such dramatic incident had taken place.
The statement read, “There was NO massive fight between Nikki Tamboli and Shiv Thakare. The shoot was NOT paused. Nothing dramatic happened. Stop turning normal moments into fake ‘exclusive updates’ just to chase engagement."
It further added, “It’s easy to type headlines. It’s harder to post facts. Dragging two names into imaginary drama for clicks isn’t journalism- it’s desperation. Please verify before you amplify. Because false narratives don’t create hype… they destroy credibility. Team-Nikki Tamboli."
The strong response makes it clear that, at least from Nikki Tamboli’s side, there was no explosive showdown — just exaggerated speculation.
Meanwhile, the show itself continues to build momentum. Unlike Bigg Boss, The 50 does not stream live, even though it is positioned as a digital-first format.
Contestants entered the house on 27 January, and the season was shot within a tight 26-day schedule to keep the narrative sharp and fast-paced.
