Excitement is building for Farah Khan’s new reality show, The 50, which is all set to premiere on February 1.
The show has already caught the imagination of viewers, thanks to its fresh concept and star-studded lineup.
Among the first names confirmed is beloved television actor Karan Patel, whose participation has fans eagerly waiting to see him take on the show’s challenges.
Sharing his enthusiasm on social media, Karan Patel posted pictures of his invite card with a playful caption: “Ek sher ko dusre sher ka bulava aaya hai. Excitement bhi hai aur sawaal bhi (A lion has been summoned by another lion. There’s excitement and questions too).”
Fans have loved his cheeky post, and it has only added to the curiosity around how he will navigate the competition.
In an interview with India Today, Alok Jain from JioHotstar spoke about what makes The 50 different. “The construct on The 50 is that we will put 50 celebrity contestants in a setting and they will have to perform some highly entertaining tasks. There would also be eliminations, and over a period of time, approximately 50 episodes, we will have a winner,” he explained.
Jain also revealed that the show is designed to involve viewers closely. “Every contestant will eventually win if people follow them and support them throughout,” he said, adding that audiences could even share in the prize money by backing their favourite contestants.
Alongside Karan Patel, other big names in talks for the show include Mallika Sherawat, Kim Sharma, Jay Bhanushali, Shweta Tiwari, Ankita Lokhande, Vivian Dsena, Pratik Sehajpal, Uorfi Javed, Shiv Thakare, and Nikki Tamboli, creating a diverse and lively mix of celebrities.
With its blend of glamour, high-energy challenges, and audience participation, The 50 promises to be more than just another reality show.
It’s shaping up to be a fun, unpredictable, and engaging ride where viewers can connect with their favourite stars in a completely new way.
