The 50 contestant Adnaan Shaikh, has been making headlines since tying the knot with his girlfriend, Ayesha. Adnaan and Ayesha asked the media to honour their privacy since Ayesha preferred not to show her face publicly.
In the midst of this, Adnaan's sister, Iffat, filed a police report against her brother for assaulting her and her father-in-law. Iffat disclosed some surprising information, stating that Ayesha was a Hindu and converted to Islam to wed Adnaan.
The interfaith controversy has once again come into the spotlight after Adnaan mentioned to Filmigyan about the matter.
Adnaan mentioned, “We live in India, and there is freedom of religion. I am nobody to convert her. She converted much before we got married. There are many cases where a Hindu man is married to a Muslim woman. Nobody can force anyone to convert.”
For those unfamiliar, Adnaan's spouse, Ayesha, worked as a flight attendant with Indigo. Indigo's official Instagram account had shared a picture of Ayesha earlier. Ayesha's social media profile was tagged and identified as 'Riddhi Jadhav', but the account has since been removed.
According to a report by FPJ, Adnaan's spouse has an additional IG account titled 'Ayesha Shaikh', though it has no photos posted.
In a conversation with Telly Masala, Adnaan's sister, Iffat, was questioned whether Ayesha was compelled to convert to Islam to marry the former. She replied that Ayesha embraced Islam right before her wedding. Iffat also mentioned that Ayesha has consistently stated her preference for Islamic culture and has always desired to convert.
This disclosure arises shortly after Adnan contended with accusations of physical assault from his sister Iffat, a controversy that had already garnered significant media interest.

As for the matrimony, the occasion was a lavish celebration, featuring close friends from the reality TV scene, such as 'Bigg Boss OTT 3' champion Sana Maqbool and fellow contestants. Arbaaz Patel, recognised from 'Bigg Boss Marathi' and now a participant of ‘The 50', also attended the wedding.
During the wedding, the bride donned a mask, evading the cameras and inquisitive gazes of the media and relatives.
