The much-anticipated trailer of The Bengal Files has been released, and it promises a haunting cinematic experience rooted in one of the darkest chapters of Indian history.
Directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the film marks the third installment of his acclaimed Files trilogy after The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files.
The trailer opens with powerful visuals—blasts tearing through the streets, burning effigies, and a chilling depiction of Bengal’s blood-soaked past.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher steps into the role of Mahatma Gandhi, bringing intensity and gravitas to the screen. His portrayal is juxtaposed against harrowing frames of widespread death, bloodshed, and chaos that engulfed Bengal during the 1946 Calcutta killings and Direct Action Day.
