Devara 2 gets shelved; Jr NTR lines up movies with Trivikram and Nelson: Reports

Little Tiger NTR is currently busy filming the highly anticipated action-drama Dragon by Prashanth Neel. He has already made some important decisions concerning his next projects. The big-budget show, which has already gotten a lot of attention, is set to come out in June 2026.

Fans were pleased when the makers of Devara, helmed by Koratala Siva, said there will be a sequel, Devara 2, after the first one did well. Koratala Siva even finished the writing and was just waiting for NTR to be free. But subsequent events make it seem less likely that the sequel will come out. People who work in the sector say that NTR has put Devara 2 on hold and is now working on new projects.

It is said that the actor wants to work with filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas when he finishes Dragon. The two had worked together before on the 2018 movie Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, which did very well at the box office. Their next movie is expected to be another big endeavour that combines a good story with commercial appeal.

After Trivikram's movie, NTR is rumoured to have a sleek action movie in the works with filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar, who is known for movies like Doctor and Jailer.

Haarika & Hassine Creations and Sithara Entertainments, two of the biggest production companies in the business, will pay for both movies. This means that they will be released on a large scale with high production qualities.

As per an article published in Telugu 360, Koratala Siva has put Devara 2 on hold. There are reports that talks are going on with Naga Chaitanya and a few other young performers about his upcoming movie. This shows that the filmmaker wants to try out different actors and genres after working with NTR.

For those who were really looking forward to Devara 2, this news might be a letdown. But with NTR's upcoming movies, like Dragon, Trivikram's untitled feature, and Nelson's action-packed comedy, fans can look forward to an exciting time in the star's career.
