Neela Mediatech is introducing Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) as 3D animated films in six different languages. In the last three years, Neela Mediatech has successfully expanded the TMKOC digital franchise across various formats, including gaming, gamefield education, and animation. As part of its next growth phase, the company is enhancing its animation sector by launching two feature-length 3D animated films on YouTube.
The first movie, titled Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah 3D Animated Movie: Gokuldham to Galacto, released on December 31, while Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah 3D Animated Movie: The Big Fat Alien Wedding will follow on January 26.
Both films will be accessible on YouTube in six languages: Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, allowing for a broader reach across different regions, age groups, and digital-first audiences.
These releases represent Neela Mediatech’s foray into feature-length 3D animation.
Building on the successful reception of its animated rhymes, the company is now focusing on long-form storytelling aimed at sustained digital engagement, repeat viewership, and platform-driven growth.
Asit Kumarr Modi said, “TMKOC was created to bring families together and offer relief from everyday stress through simple, relatable stories. Animation allows us to carry that intent forward for children who are growing up on digital platforms today. For me, this is about ensuring that the emotional meaning behind the show community, warmth, and shared joy continues to resonate across generations, regardless of format.”
“The strength of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has always been its characters and the emotional bond audiences share with them. Animation gives us the freedom to explore those characters in new ways, experiment with humour, and reach newer audiences over time. These two films are just the beginning of how we want to build this vertical. Digital platforms like YouTube support that journey by enabling steady growth through discovery and repeat viewing at scale,” said Harjeet Chhabra, CEO, Neela Mediatech.
The films feature familiar characters from TMKOC in new narrative settings, while maintaining the humour and community-driven storytelling that the franchise is known for. Each film operates independently, yet they all contribute to a larger animation pipeline planned by the company.
With this launch, Neela Mediatech aims to establish TMKOC as a multi-format digital business. Animation is positioned as a key growth driver alongside gaming, children's content, and educational platforms.
