Bollywood actor Sunny Deol is currently busy shooting for his most-awaited film Border 2. However, he has recently taken time from the filming to meet the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama.
Sunny took to his Instagram and shared a photo with the Dalai Lama and penned in the caption, “A moment of deep honor and gratitude. Met His Holiness, The Dalai Lama during my journey through the serene landscapes of Ladakh.”
The actor expressed his excitement about meeting him and continued, “His presence, wisdom, and blessings filled my heart with peace. Truly unforgettable.”
In the photo, Sunny is seen bowing to the spiritual leader while having a conversation with him.
The visit came after Sunny shared a video with his son, Rajveer Deol, enjoying the weather of the Himalayas.
On the work front, Sunny Deol has recently wrapped shooting for Border 2, a sequel to his 1997 blockbuster film Border, which went on to earn over Rs 600 million at the worldwide box office during its release. Directed by J P Dutta, the film explores a pivotal chapter from the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

Meanwhile, Border 2 also features Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in the key roles. Directed by Anurag Singh, the highly anticipated sequel is slated to hit the big screen on January 23, 2026. The upcoming film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J P Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.
Besides Border 2, Sunny Deol also has Lahore 1947 in his pipeline. He will star alongside Preity Zinta in the film. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the upcoming film is produced under Aamir Khan's production banner Aamir Khan Productions.
