Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty was in Delhi for the promotions of his latest release, 'Kesari Veer,' along with the film's lead actors Sooraj Pancholi and debutant Akanksha Sharma.

During the course of the conversation with MoneyControl, we asked him about the entire controversy surrounding Hera Pheri 3.

And Suniel was quick to reply that this entire thing has left him in 'shock.' Suniel said that ever since this news broke, his phone has not stopped ringing, and he also didn't get time to sit down and chat with both actors personally.

"It is shocking and this has happened in the last two days and I have been busy with my promotions, travelling. And I don't want to talk to anybody over the phone. I want to sit down and understand the things personally; it will be great. Because for me personally it is a huge loss," he told Moneycontrol in an exclusive chat.

Suniel, who has collaborated on numerous films with Akshay and Paresh Rawal, expressed his profound sadness and said his world has collapsed.

"I was very clear that I will do Hera Pheri, I will do Awara Pagal Deewana, I will do Jungle, and I have my two OTTs that are going into season 2 and season 3. I was excited and when one of the films like this came along, I got the opportunity and I jumped into it. Family, grandchildren—suddenly the world has come crashing down because of Hera Pheri. It means a lot to me. That's the kind of character you always want to put out and stories you want to show. If you are going to do a Kesari Veer on one side, and if you are talking about commercial, I would rather make people laugh and send them back home in a great mood. I just don't know now," he further added.

Suniel Shetty said he is feeling very sad  and still cannot believe that such a thing has actually happened. "It's unbelievable, and it happened this morning, and since then, if I check my messages, I see 100 messages that only want to know what happened. So Sad."

He informed us that they had also filmed a few segments of the movie, Hera Pheri, which holds a special place in his affections.

For the unversed, the Hera Pheri controversy began when veteran actor Paresh Rawal, famous as Babu Bhai from the movie, decided to walk out of the movie being directed by Priyadarshan. Hera Pheri 3 was to bring together the hit trio of Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal back on screen after a long gap.

In the latest development, according to HT, Akshay Kumar's production house, Cape of Good Films, has sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal seeking Rs 25 crore in damages following his shocking departure from the movie.

Talking about Suniel Shetty, he will be seen in Kesari Veer, whereas Paresh Rawal will be seen in Housefull 5, which also stars Akshay Kumar.
