Stree 2 box office collection: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's film is all set to cross Rs 200 crore mark

The much-anticipated sequel, Stree 2 starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, is proving to be a box office success. The film, which blends horror and comedy, has managed to attract a significant audience, and this is clearly reflected in its box office collections.

As of Day 4, Stree 2 has already accumulated an impressive total. The film opened strong, earning Rs 8.5 crores on its release day (Wednesday). The momentum continued with Rs 51.8 crores on its first Thursday, although there was a slight dip on Friday, with collections falling to Rs 31.4 crores, reflecting a 39.38% drop. However, the movie picked up pace again on Saturday, bringing in Rs 43.85 crores, marking a 39.65% increase from the previous day.

On Sunday, the fourth day of its release, Stree 2 saw its highest single-day collection, with early estimates indicating earnings of Rs 55 crores. This brings the film’s four-day total to approximately Rs 190.6 crores, putting it on the verge of crossing the Rs 200 crore mark.

The film’s strong performance can be attributed to several factors. Firstly, the established fan base from the first installment, Stree generated significant anticipation for the sequel. Additionally, the movie’s blend of horror and humor, along with strong performances from the cast, has resonated well with audiences across India.

Occupancy rates for the film have also been promising. On its fourth day, Stree 2 maintained a solid 72.74% occupancy rate across Hindi 2D screenings. The evening shows saw the highest turnout, with an occupancy of 84.34%, while the afternoon and night shows also performed well at 77.19% and 79.71% respectively.

Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Stree 2 stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee in key roles. The movie continues to perform strongly at the box office and is expected to cross the Rs 200 crore mark soon, solidifying its status as a blockbuster hit.
