Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, known for her fierce attitude and bold persona, recently hit back at a troll in the most savage way possible. The actress, who tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in a private ceremony last year, has been the target of several online trolls ever since news of their interfaith marriage broke. However, Sonakshi has made it clear that she won’t tolerate any hate.

After sharing a picture online, a troll commented, “Your divorce is too close to you.” Refusing to stay silent, Sonakshi gave a fiery response: “Pehele teri mummy papa karenge, phir hum. Promise.” (Translation: “First, your parents will get a divorce. Then we will, promise.”) Her witty and sharp comeback instantly went viral and drew praise for how she tackled the unnecessary negativity.

Sonakshi and Zaheer registered their marriage under the Special Marriage Act and got married in June. Despite their efforts to keep the ceremony intimate, public scrutiny followed—ranging from their wedding to their personal lives.

The couple also faced rumors regarding pregnancy when Sonakshi was spotted outside a clinic. Addressing the rumors, Sonakshi clarified, “I’m not pregnant. Mein bas moti ho chuki hu.” (I’ve just gained weight.) Speaking to Curly Tales, she explained that she and Zaheer were simply enjoying their post-marriage life and had been attending several lunches and dinners, which might have added to the weight gain.

Zaheer, adding a dose of humor, shared how someone congratulated them and asked if they were expecting. “The next day her diet started,” he joked.

Sonakshi further added, “It’s only been four months, and we’re genuinely busy traveling so much. We are enjoying ourselves, and people’s lunch and dinner are not getting over.” She also laughed off how people assumed pregnancy just from a picture of them with their dog. “How is that even related?” Zaheer asked, with Sonakshi concluding, “People are crazy.”

Despite facing constant scrutiny, the couple continues to maintain a light-hearted approach, refusing to be weighed down by baseless comments. Sonakshi’s spirited clapback is a reminder that she’s not just an actress, but someone who knows how to hold her ground with grace and humor.
