Ajay Devgn has officially begun shooting for the much-awaited sequel to the comedy hit, Son of Sardaar. The actor shared the exciting news about Son of Sardaar 2 on his Instagram, sending fans into a frenzy as the original film was a box office success.
The highly anticipated sequel, Son of Sardaar 2, has officially commenced production. Actor Ajay Devgn took to social media to announce the film's Muhurat. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film will have an extensive shooting schedule in the UK, followed by India.
Ajay Devgn shared a video that begins with him praying and seeking blessings as the shooting has kickstarted. It also includes behind-the-scenes clips from the sets. The video also briefly features his son, Yug Devgn. He wrote in the caption, " The journey of #SonOfSardaar2 begins with prayers, blessings, and an amazing team."
Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt were initially set to reprise their roles in Son of Sardaar 2.
However, while Ajay Devgn will continue to reprise his role from the first installment, Sanjay Dutt has reportedly been replaced by Ravi due to recent controversy regarding his UK visa application being rejected over arrest in the 1993 blasts case.
The film, which also stars Mrunal Thakur, was initially planned to be shot in London, but the change in cast has altered the shooting schedule. The production has now moved to Scotland.
This unexpected development has certainly caught the attention of fans, who are eager to see how Ravi Kishan will fit into the much-anticipated sequel.
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Son of Sardaar 2 is a joint venture between Jio Studios and Devgn Films. The film is being produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande under their banner, Devgn Films, in association with SOS 2 Limited. N R Pachisia and Pravin Talreja are also serving as producers, with Kumar Mangat Pathak as co-producer.
