Bollywood actor Salman Khan has recently made headlines after Sikandar director AR Murugadoss claimed that the actor used to arrive late evening on the set, leading his crew to wait since the morning.
However, actor Ayaan Lall, who shared the screen with Salman in the 2025 film, has recently addressed the claims, sharing his totally different narrative.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Ayaan debunked the reports of Salman keeping people waiting for hours. He revealed that the actor always brings a food truck along, making sure the crew eats the same food as him.
Ayaan, who is the son of veteran actor and Bigg Boss 19 contestant Kunickaa Sadanand, recalled that Salman was always on set by 5 p.m., even though he would frequently arrive at the set by 3 p.m. He clarified that a large portion of the delay was caused by the time needed to set up the set, which he fully understood.
Ayaan shared, “He never used to come 8 hours late. I have worked on set for a good 12–13 days, and this never happened. And if 5-10 mins or 1–2 hours here and there, you need to understand. For example, the Punjab floods, it’s very sad what happened, Diljit sir also posted, but Salman sir has donated to help victims of the Punjab floods.”

The actor explained, “So you have to understand that his only job is not to entertain the public or be a superstar. He is the man of society and the superstar of country, the bhai. He has a lot of things to do other than just entertain people. So if he reaches 5–10 mins late or 1–2 hours late, it’s nothing. You have to understand his only job is not just to make films, he’s here for bigger things.”
For the unversed, Ayaan played the role of Anjini Dhawan's boyfriend, Kapil, in the film. Sikandar also starred Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. Despite the expectations, Sikandar failed to impress fans and was a flop at the box office.
