Sidharth Malhotra, who brought Captain Vikram Batra to life on screen, took to Instagram to share his memories on the film's journey. In his post, he expressed the deep impact that playing the role had on him, calling it "one of the most rewarding experiences of my career."

He proudly noted, " Three years since Shershaah! Portraying Captain Vikram Batra was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career, bringing to life the story of a legendary hero honored with the Special Jury Award at the 69th National Film Awards. Meeting his incredible family made the journey unforgettable. Here’s to celebrating the legacy of a real hero and the memories we created!..."

Shershaah also marked the on-screen pairing of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, who played the role of Dimple Cheema, Captain Batra's love interest.
