Mirzapur fame actor Shweta Tripathi has recently announced her production venture and is now ready to step forward and produce her first-ever feature film, Mujhe Jaan Na Kaho Meri Jaan.
Shweta is all set to bring her artistic vision to the world of film after the success of her previous queer-themed production Cock, a play that was widely praised for its candid examination of identity and love.
Encouraged by the positive reaction, she is all set for her first feature film as producer. Tillotama Shome will star in the lead role.
She expressed her excitement about her upcoming movie and said, “This film is very close to my heart — not just because it’s my first as a producer, but because of what it stands for. Queer love stories deserve to be told with honesty, beauty, and nuance.”
She also reflected on Tillotama casting and shared, “Having Tillotama on board makes this even more special. She’s not just a phenomenal actor, she’s also someone I deeply admire and trust. We’ve been wanting to work together for a long time, and I can’t think of a better project to begin this journey with."
