Shanaya Kapoor too soon make her Bollywood debut

Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter, Shanaya Kapoor, is all set to make her Bollywood debut with the film, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. The actress has already wrapped up filming in Baku, Azerbaijan and showed a glimpse of the last day at the shoot.

Shanaya took to her Instagram and shared a series of behind-the-scenes from the set of the upcoming film. In the photos, she posed with the clapboard of the film. The actress looked stunning as she smiled at the camera.

Shanaya kept the caption of the film simple and wrote, “grateful…” while adding a butterfly emoji. She received congratulatory messages from her family and friends. Maheep reacted to the post with red heart and evil eye protection emoticons.

Meanwhile Bhavana Pandey commented, “congratulations my gorgeous girl.” However, Navya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor and Anjini Dhawan also dropped with red heart emoticons in the comment section.

Although the film marked Shanaya’s acting debut, she has previously worked behind the cameras. She served as the assistant director on Janhvi Kapoor's film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is reported to be a musical drama, based on Ruskin Bond’s short story titled The Eyes Have It. According to Peeping Moon report, Shanaya will star as a theatre artist, alongside Vikrant Massey, who will play a blind musician.

The film’s plot is set to delve into the complexities of human relationships, touching on themes like compassion, resilience, independence, desire and self-belief. Directed by Santosh Singh and backed by Mansi, the upcoming film is written by acclaimed writers like Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla.

Shanaya is also slated to star in Telugu-Malayalam film Vrusabha alongside Mohanlal. Produced by AVS Studios, First Step Movies, and Balaji Telefilms, the film is expected to release in October 2025.

For the unaware, Shanaya was originally slated to make her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar's film, Bedhadak, starring alongside Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada. However, the project appears to have stalled, with no updates on the film's production since last year.
