A shocking incident involving an obsessive fan has once again brought the extreme side of celebrity worship into public focus. A young man from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, has gone viral after carving Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s name on his eyelids, leaving netizens stunned and deeply concerned.

The fan’s devotion has crossed all known boundaries of fandom. According to viral images and videos circulating online, the word ‘Salman’ is visibly tattooed on both his eyelids, one of the most sensitive and dangerous areas of the human body. In addition to this, he has reportedly tattooed Salman Khan’s portrait and name on several other parts of his body, all as an expression of what he describes as unwavering devotion.

While the tattooing incident itself took place several years ago, the young man has resurfaced in the public eye recently due to Salman Khan’s 60th birthday celebrations. As tributes and throwback moments flooded social media, visuals of this fan once again began trending, sparking widespread debate around obsession, mental health, and the darker side of celebrity culture.

The story becomes even more unsettling with what followed the tattoo. After taking this painful and risky step, the young man reportedly left his home without informing his family and boarded a train to Mumbai. His sole aim was to meet his idol. Upon reaching the city, he spent hours waiting outside Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, hoping to catch a glimpse of the actor. His unusual tattoos and emotional state drew the attention of passers-by, many of whom recorded videos that later went viral.

In several clips, the fan claims that Salman Khan is his God and that he is willing to take any risk for him. While some social media users have called his actions “brave” or “pure devotion,” a large section of netizens have expressed alarm, calling the act dangerous and deeply troubling.

Medical experts have also weighed in, warning that tattoos on eyelids or near the eyes can lead to severe infections, nerve damage, vision loss, and long-term complications. Doctors have strongly discouraged such procedures, stressing that no form of fandom should come at the cost of one’s health or safety.

Although extreme acts by fans are not unheard of in Indian cinema, this incident stands out for its sheer risk and intensity. It has once again sparked conversations about responsible fandom, the psychological impact of celebrity worship, and the urgent need for awareness around personal well-being.
