After making a confident debut with Saiyaara, Ahaan Panday is moving swiftly into his next chapter. The young actor is all set to headline an action romance directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, marking a sharp tonal shift from his first outing.

According to industry sources, principal photography is scheduled to begin in the last week of March in Mumbai. The makers have locked an intensive first schedule in the city, expected to run for 24 to 27 days. Ahaan will be joined by co-star Sharvari for the opening leg of the shoot, with several key dramatic and romantic portions planned during this phase.

Once the Mumbai schedule concludes, the team will head to the United Kingdom for a longer second leg. The London schedule, likely to commence in May 2026, is expected to feature a large-scale action sequence mounted on an international canvas. Insiders reveal that a five-day action block has already been mapped out in detail.

To prepare for the physically demanding role, Ahaan has reportedly been undergoing intense training. His regimen includes hand-to-hand combat drills and weapon handling sessions, signalling that the film will present him in a markedly different avatar compared to Saiyaara. Those close to the project say the transformation is both physical and stylistic, positioning him in a more rugged, action-oriented space.

If production stays on schedule, the film is expected to wrap by July 2026, with the makers eyeing an early 2027 theatrical release. Actor Aaishvary Thackeray is said to be playing the antagonist, setting up a strong dramatic conflict within the narrative.

The project also marks a significant reunion for Ali Abbas Zafar with Yash Raj Films after nearly nine years. The director previously delivered major commercial successes for the banner, including Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.

Ahaan, who trained under the YRF system for over seven years and is mentored by Aditya Chopra, made his big-screen debut opposite Aneet Padda. With his second film already rolling, the actor now appears ready to test his range in a bigger, more action-driven arena.
