Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured in the wee hours of Thursday (January 16) during a scuffle with an intruder at his residence in Mumbai's Bandra area, following a robbery attempt. He was admitted to Lilavati Hospital and according to latest reports, he is currently undergoing surgery.
Sources from Lilavati Hospital have provided further details about Saif Ali Khan’s injuries. One of the stab wounds was deep, requiring 10 stitches, but thankfully, it did not damage his spine. The hospital stated, “He was very lucky that the stabs have not affected any vital organs.” The hospital confirmed that Saif Ali Khan is out of danger now.
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, stated that Saif Ali Khan's back surgery has been successfully completed by the neurosurgeon. The cosmetic surgeon is currently operating on his wrist.
Dr Uttamani also said that Saif Ali Khan sustained six injuries, including two minor, two intermediate, and two deep wounds, with one injury near his spine on his back. "The wrist wound is also deep. It's on the left hand and requires a plastic surgeon to repair it," he added.

Mumbai Police's Crime Branch officials arrived at the scene to investigate the incident, while Saif Ali Khan is receiving medical treatment at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. According to a police official, initial reports suggest that an unidentified intruder entered the actor's residence, leading to a confrontation between them. Several family members of the actor were present at the time of the incident. During the altercation, Saif Ali Khan was injured in a knife attack by the intruder.
