  • Shetty seen with tight security, bids emotional bye to his son

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty was seen in public for the first time since reports of firing outside his Juhu residence earlier this month, as he arrived at Mumbai airport to see off his son. A video shared by paparazzi handles showed Rohit stepping out near the departure area under tight security, with armed guards and staff forming a cordon as onlookers and photographers gathered.

The sighting comes days after an alleged late-night attack outside Rohit's home, when multiple rounds were fired and police deployed additional security in the area. Investigators later invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in the case and said several suspects had been taken into custody as the probe continued.

At the airport, Rohit wore a light-coloured shirt and dark trousers, keeping a low profile as he walked alongside his team. In the clips, a security officer repeatedly gestures for people to keep their distance, while another staffer guides Rohit towards the entry point. A white SUV is seen parked at the kerb, and the director pauses briefly as the group manages the crowd.

One moment in the video appears to show Rohit bidding an emotional farewell to his son, Ishaan Shetty. According to the post, Ishaan touched his father’s feet and the two then shared a hug, drawing attention online for the personal gesture amid the otherwise tightly controlled movement.

Rohit, known for action-heavy entertainers and his police-universe franchise, has not made any public statement about the firing incident. However, the latest visuals suggest heightened precautions around the filmmaker, with multiple guards flanking him throughout and managing the space around him. The clip was circulated widely across social media within hours, with users commenting on the visible security presence and the father-son goodbye at the airport.

The case remains under enquiry, and updates are expected as authorities continue to track the alleged shooters and the wider network behind the attack, as reported by multiple outlets.

Bishnoi gang had reportedly taken the responsibility of the firing incident that happened at Rohit Shetty house.
