Pooja Bedi recently shared a heartfelt memory about Jr NTR that highlights his strong values and respectful nature. She spoke at an event related to the upcoming film Baraabar Premista, which stars Chandrahas and is set to release on February 6. She recalled her past work during her speech in the Telugu cinema and spoke warmly about her experience with Jr NTR.
Pooja Bedi explained an incident that left a lasting impression on her while talking about the fantasy action film Shakti. In the film, she played the wife of Sonu Sood, and her character carried a negative shade.
There was a scene in the film as part of the story where her character was supposed to fight the hero. However Jr NTR clearly stated that he would not perform a fight sequence with a woman.
She said that his clear stand and calm approach increased her respect for him as an actor and as a person. She felt that such values are rare and deserve appreciation, especially in a demanding film industry.
Shakti was released in 2011 and featured a mix of fantasy, action and drama. Although the film had its own journey at the box office, moments like these from behind the scenes continue to be remembered by those who worked on it.
The actress also spoke briefly about her long association with Telugu cinema. She made her Tollywood debut many years before Shakti, playing a doctor in the Chittemma Mogudu which starred Mohan Babu in the lead role.
Over the years, she has worked in different industries and witnessed many changes in filmmaking.
Pooja Bedi’s words serve as a reminder that true respect and strong values often leave a deeper impact than on-screen heroics. Jr NTR’s gesture, shared years later, continues to earn him admiration from colleagues and fans alike.
