The makers of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups have dropped a striking new poster revealing that the film’s official teaser will arrive on February 20 at 9:35 AM, setting the stage for the first proper look into its gritty world.
The bleak image centres on Yash as Raya, standing amid a blood-soaked storm and clutching a bottle to his lips — a visual cue to the film’s dark, violent and morally complex tone. This stark aesthetic hints at an intoxicating and dangerous universe long before any story details are unveiled.

The teaser announcement builds further excitement for what is currently one of India’s most awaited releases, with the marketing campaign deliberately paced through periodic character reveals and visual teases that have fuelled audience speculation.
With narrative elements still largely under wraps, February 20 offers fans their first meaningful glimpse into the aesthetic and emotional world of Toxic. The teaser will be released in a single language format, underscoring the intent for the film’s imagery and atmosphere to resonate on its own terms.
Part of the anticipation also stems from the film’s carefully curated ensemble. Kiara Advani plays Nadia, portraying a character marked by restraint and emotional depth; Huma Qureshi is cast as the formidable Elizabeth; Nayanthara appears as Ganga, a figure whose entry reportedly shifts the power dynamics; Tara Sutaria features as the enigmatic Rebecca; and Rukmini Vasanth steps in as Mellisa, radiating controlled authority. Yash’s Raya was the final major reveal, introduced with a line that doubles as both narrative foreshadowing and a bold return to the big screen after his blockbuster run.
Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been simultaneously shot in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages, underscoring the film’s global ambition.

The project also boasts a high-profile technical lineup, with National Award–winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music by Ravi Basrur, editing from Ujwal Kulkarni, and large-scale action choreography led by Hollywood’s JJ Perry alongside National Award winners. Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
Toxic is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on 19 March 2026, strategically coinciding with Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa.
