Actor Suriya, along with his wife Jyotika, made a special appearance at the Gautham Menon 25 event in Chennai on Sunday. This event celebrated 25 years of the filmmaker's work in the Tamil film industry. The musical night turned into a trip down memory lane when Suriya joined Menon on stage and danced to the classic song "Anjala," which made fans very happy.
It was even more special when singer Karthik joined the two of them, and the three of them recreated the magic of Vaaranam Aayiram. People in the audience cheered loudly during the performance, and many said it was one of the best parts of the night.

It also meant a lot that Suriya and Jyotika were there. The actor and director had a famous fight during the long Dhruva Natchathiram phase in the early 2010s, but they made up a few years later. Fans were pleasantly surprised to see Suriya and Jyotika show up to support Menon. This showed how strong their bond had become again.
Suriya wore a white shirt and blue pants for the event, while Jyotika wore a classy brown co-ord set. Videos from the event show the couple warmly greeting fans and guests, which added to the festive mood.
Suriya said on stage that Jyotika helped him get back in touch with Menon. "I have to start with Jo if I have to." He said, "She helped reconnect the missing link." He went on to say that directors like Menon are the backbone of cinema. Suriya said that Kaakha Kaakha was a turning point in his career that earned him a lot of love and respect from fans, which he says continues to this day.

Suriya and Gautham Menon have worked together on two important movies, Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram, both of which are still popular with fans. Years after their differences, the two worked together again on an episode of Netflix's anthology Navarasa, which was a full-circle moment in their careers.
The night was a celebration of Gautham Menon's career, but it was also a celebration of friendship, forgiveness, and the magic of movies that never goes away.
