Sreeleela, a Tollywood and South Indian movie star, recently opened up about a very personal part of her life: how she adopted three kids by the time she was 24. The actress talked about her relationship with the kids, which she had mostly kept to herself until now.
Sreeleela is known for her energetic performances and dance skills. Many fans were surprised to learn that she also helps and cares for children in need outside of movies. People who follow her on social media have seen bits and pieces of her time with the kids, but it wasn't until this recent conversation that she really talked about it.
How It Began: From the Set to the Ashram
During a recent interview with Galatta Plus, Sreeleela said that her path to adoption began in 2019, when she shot the Kannada film Kiss and the director took her to an ashram where a lot of kids lived. She got to know them better over time through phone calls and visits. She said, "It was a secret for the longest time," which shows how much she wanted to keep the kids' lives out of the public eye until she thought it was the right time.
In February 2022, when she was only 21 years old, she adopted her first two children, Guru and Shobhitha, who had different disabilities. In April 2025, just before her 24th birthday, she had a baby girl. Sreeleela shared cute pictures from social media that showed how happy and warm the new addition made her life.
Finding a balance between fame and family
The actress said that it wasn't always easy to balance her busy acting career with her other duties when asked. She joked that people in the public eye often "exaggerate" what they do, and she usually likes to keep her personal life private. She still said that her kids are "well taken care of," even though they don't live with her all the time. "I'm not a 'mother mother' because that's a whole other story," she said, honestly and with feeling, as she thought about how complicated her situation was.

Sreeleela also talked about how she naturally wants to care for others, saying that her maternal instinct is very strong. She said that she often "mothers" the people around her, joking that this trait might make her less of an "ideal girlfriend" by today's dating standards. She affectionately compared her style of care to how her own mother cares for others.
Career Highlights and Personal Growth
Even though people are interested in her personal life, Sreeleela has continued to do well in her career. In 2025, she made a lot of movies, like Robinhood, Junior, and Mass Jathara. In addition to her memorable roles in Guntur Kaaram, she also appeared in the well-known song "Kissik" from Pushpa 2: The Rule. In the future, she will make her Tamil debut in Parasakthi with Sivakarthikeyan and her Hindi film debut with Kartik Aaryan in a project directed by Anurag Basu. She also has the Telugu movie Ustaad Bhagat Singh with Pawan Kalyan coming up.
