Actress Ritu Varma is celebrating her 36th birthday today (March 10) and as a special surprise for her fans, the makers of her upcoming film with actor Gopichand unveiled her first look poster.
Ritu will next be seen in Gopichand’s 33rd film, which is set against the backdrop of a lesser-known historical event from the 7th century. The film is already generating curiosity for its historical premise and the powerful characters it promises to present.
Ritu Varma appears intense in the poster as she takes aim with a bow and arrow. Her look hints at a strong and determined character, suggesting that she will be playing a crucial role in the story.
The poster was shared by the production house Srinivasaa Silver Screen on X, along with a birthday message for the actress. Alongside the poster, they wrote, "Deadly aim. Fierce presence. Wishing @riturv a very Happy Birthday as she transforms into #SathyaVathi in #Gopichand33."

The film is directed by Sankalp Reddy and produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under the Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner. In the movie, Ritu Varma will be seen portraying a tribal girl named Satyavathi.
The character appears to be bold and powerful, and the first look suggests that it will be a performance-driven role in what is being described as a high-budget project.
While the poster has offered a glimpse of Ritu’s role, the makers have chosen to keep most details about the film under wraps for now, adding to the intrigue surrounding the project.
Earlier this year, on Gopichand’s birthday, the team had already created excitement by unveiling a special poster and glimpse featuring the actor.

Director Sankalp Reddy is reportedly planning to portray an important yet often overlooked chapter of Indian history through this film. Sources say the filmmaker aims to create a story that is both visually impressive and emotionally powerful.
Meanwhile, Gopichand was last seen in the 2024 Telugu film Bhimaa.
