What is being described as the biggest wedding of the year has evolved into something far more meaningful than a high-profile celebrity event. Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have transformed their marriage into a sweeping cultural celebration, one anchored in faith, gratitude and a heartfelt tribute to India’s shared identity.
In a gesture rarely seen in celebrity circles, the couple chose to extend their joy beyond private festivities, sharing their happiness with the very people who have supported them throughout their journey. As they embark on this new chapter, they are actively seeking blessings from across the nation.
On March 1, thousands of sweet boxes are being distributed in 23 cities across India, including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, along with several other major hubs.
The sweet boxes, specially wrapped in custom-designed covers created exclusively for the occasion, are being distributed through festively decorated trucks travelling through key city centres, turning ordinary streets into vibrant extensions of the wedding celebration.
Adding to the festive spirit, on-ground teams clad in specially designed “V & R” T-shirts and caps are personally handing out the sweets, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a public festival rather than a private ceremony.
Each sweet box also features a QR code, enabling recipients to scan and send their blessings directly to the couple. This thoughtful inclusion allows well-wishers to participate interactively, ensuring that every person who receives a box becomes an active part of the historic moment.
At the same time, Annadanam — the sacred offering of food — is being conducted at multiple temples across India. This spiritual gesture underscores Rashmika and Vijay’s intention to seek divine blessings while simultaneously giving back to the community, reinforcing the devotional core of their celebrations.
By extending their wedding beyond a single venue and into cities nationwide, the couple is redefining what a wedding celebration can represent. This is not merely a union between two stars, but a shared national experience unfolding across 23 cities, marked by culture, devotion and a sense of collective joy.
Shortly after their nuptials, Rashmika and Vijay also visited the Tirupati Balaji Temple to offer prayers and seek blessings. During their visit, they were seen warmly greeting and thanking fans who had gathered there.

Their eagerly awaited wedding was held on 26 February 2026 in Udaipur, Rajasthan, at the opulent Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya. The ceremony beautifully blended traditional South Indian (Telugu) rituals with distinctive Kodava (Coorg) customs, paying tribute to Rashmika’s heritage and infusing the celebration with deep cultural symbolism.
The celebrations are set to continue, with the couple scheduled to host a grand reception in Hyderabad on March 4, bringing their remarkable wedding journey to yet another glittering milestone.
